Poles are buying up Spanish real estate. Costa del Sol is breaking sales records
Spain has become one of the hottest investment destinations for Poles. In the first half of 2025 alone, Polish buyers purchased over 2,000 houses and apartments on the Iberian Peninsula, securing 9th place among foreign property buyers.
Costa del Sol – the golden triangle of real estate investments
The province of Malaga, and especially the prestigious “Golden Triangle” – Marbella, Estepona, and Benahavis – attracts the largest number of Polish buyers. Luxury villas and apartments ranging from €350,000 to several tens of millions are increasingly popular among Poles who are not only buying holiday homes but also planning permanent relocation. Over 60% of investors treat the purchase as a second home, while nearly 30% intend to move there for good.
Despite high prices, the market remains attractive. According to Eurostat, property prices in Spain rose by 12.3% in the first quarter of 2025 compared to the same period last year, with prices in the Malaga region increasing by as much as 14.3%. This makes Costa del Sol a safe haven where investments not only retain value but also generate long-term growth. “Costa del Sol is a safe harbor where luxury properties don’t just hold their value – they create it,” says Agnieszka Marciniak-Kostrzewa of Agnes Inversiones.
Poles in Spain – beyond investments
More and more Poles are settling permanently on the Spanish coast, starting businesses, engaging in local communities, and organizing cultural events such as the annual Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (WOŚP) on Costa del Sol. Spain is also gaining popularity as a tourist destination, where holidays are often cheaper than in Poland, while the sunny climate and Mediterranean cuisine remain unbeatable.
